Clark (Charles and family) papers, 1810-1892 [microform]

This collection consists of personal papers, business and military records, and family photographs of Charles Clark (May 1811-December 17, 1877) of Jefferson and Bolivar counties, who served in the Confederate States Army and who was governor of Mississippi from November 16, 1863, to May 22, 1865. The papers include a number of letters. Among the correspondents are: John T. Buck, H. Cassedy, James and William Clark, Alexander M. Clayton, Varina Davis, N. B. Forrest, S. G. French, James Hill, Andrew Johnson, John F. Kennedy, R. M. King, J. V. Lobdell, William Yerger, and Douglas Walworth.
